Grease traps are required in most commercial kitchens to collect the fats, oils and greases (FOG) from normal kitchen operations. When grease traps fail, the lines too and from the trap may need to be cleared.
Line jetting is an effective method of removing debris from pipe walls. A hose with powerful jets is inserted into the plumbing and water is forced out, in a circular motion, at high pressure (usually 2,000-4,000 lbs. per square inch).
